How to Treat Varicose Veins

Posted on 30. Jun, 2011 by in All How To Videos, Feature, Health

Dr. Luis Navarro, M.D., F.A.C.S. tells us that varicose veins happen when the main vein in the leg fails.  Other sources expand that description and tell us that varicose veins are enlarged veins that no longer pump blood properly to the heart.  Blood flows backwards into the veins and causes swelling and terrible pain.  Luckily, there are several different treatment options for varicose veins.

Injections can work on smaller veins.  When the main vein in the leg is fully involved, surgery was usually called for.  Nowadays, a procedure called Endovenous Laser Therapy can be used, and it is minimally invasive and takes only 45 minutes or so.  Just contact a reputable vascular surgeon and you can get this malady cleared up quickly.
