So you’ve managed to skip the need for maternity clothes, breast pumps, and discussions about birth plans. Maybe you’re not able to have kids in the biological way, and you want to start a family. Maybe you’ve done all that stuff before, and want to add to your family by giving a home to a child who wouldn’t have one otherwise. Maybe you’ve entered into a relationship and the person you’re marrying has a child that you plan to adopt. No matter what your reason, adopting a child is a very, very important step in your life, and not one to be considered lightly.
Marilyn Regier – Executive Director of The Barker Foundation, talks frankly and openly about the adoption process, from where your head should be when you start thinking about it, to what you should do once your bundle of joy is all yours. Regier doesn’t sugar coat anything, and she asks you to ask yourself some pretty tough questions. This is a great video to watch when you’re considering adoption.
