How to Understand More About Lung Cancer

As a follow up to our previous post on this, here we have an information video on the very nature of lung cancer. If you remember, our last video starred Angie, a young woman who had never smoked who was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer after experiencing back pain and extreme fatigue. This video features Dr. Patel, who explains in a scientific way what treatment options for lung cancer are available.
Since lung cancer is the cancer most responsible for deaths in the US, it’s good to know what treatment options there are. It’s a disease that usually doesn’t present symptoms until the late stages, when it’s hardest to treat. As we learned with Angie in the last video, sometimes it happens to someone with no risk factors – no family history, no history of smoking – but if you’re someone with risk factors, it’s good to get screened to make sure you don’t have an earlier stage. The earlier you catch it, the more treatable it is.
